Open Ostara Egg Hunt, Feast, and Child Watching during Adult-Focused Ritual
For Ostara, we will be celebrating the Hindi festival of Holi, which occurs at the March full moon. This a time to forgive those whom we had differences with and forge bonds of trust and rapport within our community. Eating roasted foods and face painting are traditional ways people bless each other during this time. (VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! – see below)
Times:
3PM Egg Hunt for kids of all ages
4PM Community Feast
6PM Children's Entertainment at the same time and separate from
Adult/Teen Ritual
7:30PM Community Fun Time
Hands of Change is a group of spiritual people on a path that
embraces the natural cycles of the earth and of the universe. With a
belief that Spirit can be found everywhere, even within each one of
us, we are committed to inclusion, gender neutrality, healing,
community building, and empowerment.
NEEDS/ SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Come join us for an intergenerational celebration of Ostara. Hands of
Change will be hosting the following activities:
(In order for everyone to have a great time, we need signups for both
the egg hunt and children's entertainment and volunteers to help out
with the following activities)
SABBAT DONATION: We ask for a suggested $5. donation to cover costs
and for our community donation we are asking people to bring items
for the homeless such as socks, bottled water, hairbrushes and
toiletries—trial size shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, tampons and
maxi pads.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

- Set-up and supervision of the egg hunt
- Kitchen witch
- Clean up crew

if you would like your child/ren to be watched during the
ritual ($10 per family) – ages 3+
SCHEDULE:
10-11AM Volunteers needed for table/chair, fire ring, and firewood
haul and setup with minimal decorating
3PM Egg Hunt:
Hands of Change will be holding its first Ostara Egg Hunt for
children of all ages. Please bring a basket/container for each
child's eggs.
3:00-4PM Kitchen witches:
Set up food and eating utensils for the feast. Will be done around
the egg hunt timing.
4-5:30PM Community Feast.
Please bring a potluck item for the feast.
6-7:30PM Children's (ages 3+) entertainment/watching:
$10- per
family.
Allison will be entertaining children from 3 years and older while
the ritual is taking place. Parents with younger kids may attend as
well while watching their children.
6-7:30PM: Adult/Teen (13+) Ritual
We welcome teens who are interested in participating in the ritual.
Teens who don't wish to attend may help Allison with entertaining the
children.
7:30PM-… Party time and cleanup
Please stay and enjoy this time to get better acquainted with our
members and have some fun.

Please note: In consideration of your fellow congregants, we ask everyone attending a HOC ritual or event to practice common courtesy and be sensitive to others' needs. As any of our congregants (participants) might have allergies or sensitivities to a variety of substances or may be on restricted diets, we request that you avoid wearing heavy perfumes, and please label any food you bring to share with its ingredients.
