    Pre-registration is strongly RECOMMENDED!

    These are the Hands Of Change standard classes. They are taught by HOC members and designed to familiarize people with our Full Moon Circles and Sabbat Rituals. All classes will be held at Gaia's Garden Grove in Old Bridge. A $10.00 donation is requested for each class or $25.00 for the series of three. (The donation helps us defray the cost of the room and materials. As always, Hands of Change wishes to make all its events financially accessible to everyone--please do not let the suggested donation prevent you from taking the classes!)

    Course Descriptions

    Wicca 101:

    This course goes over the main components of the Wiccan religion, including its history, polarity, quarters, principles & practices, the wheel of the year, and the science of magic. The one-hour movie The Burning Times will be shown and discussed.

    Wicca 102:

    This class covers many of the traditions used in the Hands of Change Full Moons including:

    • What are those funny hand gestures (called mudras) during invocations?
    • What is an egregore and is it contagious?
    • Why do we sing during cakes and wine?

    Sabbat Orientation:

    This class is to better prepare attendees for the higher-energy circles held at the eight Sabbats. This class presents protocol for and explanation of the different facets of Hands of Change's solar celebrations. Learn about the history, meaning, and energies behind each aspect of the Sabbat ritual. Hands of Change Sabbats are open only to seekers who have been to a minimum of 3 full moons and have completed the Wicca 101, 102 and Sabbat orientation classes.

    Coven Orientation:

    Class scheduled as needed

    The intent of this class is to acquaint prospective new members with the different aspects of the Hands of Change Charter as well as teaching the consensus agreement seeking processes of our business meetings. It will be required of all prospective members.

    *The Wicca 101, Wicca 102, and Sabbat Orientation classes are required for all new Sabbat attendees.

    **It may be possible to test out of any or all of the classes (except Coven Orientation). Contact LadyWolf for more information.
